They are also known to have resisted the white settlers from getting their territory. This resulted to various conflicts that arisen because of the claims of the white Americans in their right to own everything that is in the territory of the United States. Because they were overpowered by the US army in a lot of ways, they are forced to sell their country in 1832 to the American government. After selling, they were then forced to vacate their ancestral lands and move to the Native American reservation in Oklahoma.

This was inside the Indian Territory that was created during the infamous Indian Removal of the 1830s. This caused the relationship gap between the Chickasaws and the White Americans, making them to grow hatred to the land grabbers. During this time, the Native Americans were pleading for mercy because they do not want to leave their ancestral lands as they treat this as holy. They did everything that they can even bowing to the White people, but still this did not have any effect on them, and they were eventually forced to transfer to Indian reservation camps.
